#311 - Take Control Again: When Staff Act Like Kids
Ever had staff talking and acting like spoilt children? You may also hear yourself sounding like a 'bossy parent' when you criticise someone for being late. And there are satisfying times when you have an adult-to-adult conversation with a manager or the boss, covering issues openly and honestly.
These are all example of the Parent-Adult-Child roles that everyone plays at different times. Understanding 'the games people play' at work (often unconsciously) can be a key to improving relationships and reducing stress. It applies to all ages, not just teens and twenties.
