Ken Burgin on Twitter - Welcome!

Thanks for checking out my Twitter profile...

This is the website for my business, Profitable Hospitality.

After more than twenty years in the industry, including ten years as a successful restaurateur and cafe operator in Sydney, I have been offering my expertise to hospitality operators since 1995. I do this through the extensive resources on this website, through a wide range of training workshops and consultation with individual clients.

You can read my blog for regular updates - see Hot & Cool Blog and check my photos at Flickr.

Read through some recent Profitable Hospitality newsletters (sent out every Tuesday) and subscribe to it here - it's free.

Make friends with me on Facebook and connect up on LinkedIn. Need a laugh? Check the wide range of funny videos on this site - we're not all hard work!

Some more about me...

In a bookshop I head for the Business, Crime or Cookery sections (work that out...). If there's a choice of films, I go for the European. On TV, British crime and comedy is always first choice.

Weekends will find me at the beach if possible (only 3km from Bondi) and for a casual meal I prefer Thai or Indian. An early-morning walk around nearby Centennial Park gets me going, with time to catch up with all the podcasts that constantly fill my iPod.

I love order and systems but tend to have an untidy desk. Like finding new software to use on my Mac. Mosts useful programme on my computer is the newsreader that tracks hundreds of RSS feeds and keeps me on top of a world of information.
